Don’t stay here. Weekends are extremely out of control. Had the worst experience! Their check in reminds me of a towel cabana. You have to pay an extra $250 deposit at check in. If you want a golf cart that will be another $200/day plus $200 per night. Very noisy area if you’re planning on relaxing. If you are in your 20’s and single. Go for it. It’s right in the center of every thing. But it is by no means a place to take small children. The noise goes on until 2 or 3 am. Our cart was stolen right outside our back door. Keep the cable on the steering wheel at all times. Also they have children under the age of 12 working. Who I had to report to about our stolen golf cart. The floor in our room were disgusting! Our socks were black! And their towels looked like rags! Never again. Put in bay is nothing like it used to be. I was disappointed about the whole weekend.

Wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and for the Halloween party. Our room was nice, and the size made it feel like an apartment. All hardwood floors, full size fridge, couch with TV. The location is probably the best on put-in-bay, all the "action" was within walking distance. We will have no problem booking here again. Thanks, we had a great time Friday night on the island 😁.

DO NOT STAY HERE. the location might be good and the price decent but it's not worth it! It's the worst/grossest "hotel" I've ever stayed at. Trash all over the property with a foul odor. When I was checking in they tried to change me an extra $250 even though I had already paid in advance. Once in my room I could tell it hadn't been properly cleaned. The floors were so disgusting I kept my shoes on my whole stay. There was throw up on the bathroom door as well as on the bathroom floor. The staff were awful and unprofessional.. refused to swap rooms and acted like I was to blame for it being uncleaned even though I had just checked in. I literally have nothing good to stay about this dump.

Update to owners response: funny how he’s not available In person, by phone or email but so quick to reply to my review. What a joke. All they care about is taking people’s money. I hope people ask to see the email. What business doesn’t reply and just cancels a room without reaching back to the customer. Look up Better business bureau complaints…. Mark is “never available” or responds to emails or calls. This dude is shady. Ask the locals because many did not have nice things to say after we told them our experience and said that they’re surprised this guy is still in business. Many said it’s one of the worst places to deal with on the island. Any of the 5 star reviews on this page were probably fake accounts created to up their rating. I wouldn't even give this place 1 star …Terrible experience here. I booked my stay through Expedia for 8/24 , Bash on the Bay. Since the Bash was cancelled, i called the # to the hotel and was told I need to email regarding reservation questions. I reached out by email to the hotel to just inquire if I could get a refund IF I canceled my reservation or reschedule the booking to the new date of the concert. I received no reply. Assuming it was probably not going to be refunded if I cancelled, I decided I should at least get use of the room. I took the ferry over to put in bay and showed up at the hotel expecting to have a room to stay. The desk people at first told me that Expedia cancelled my reservation. When I called Expedia they said they still had my reservation showing active. Then the hotel desk said THEY cancelled my reservation due to the email I sent requesting it be “canceled” which was not in the email. It was simply inquiring about a refund if necessary or rescheduling. Also, the hotel never replied AT ALL to the email so why would they cancel my room & give it away with no cancellation confirmation?!! So I came all that way and paid $525 for 1 night which they took out 3 weeks beforehand and show up with no room to stay in!? The desk personnel kept brushing me off and saying there’s nothing they can do and that the owner needs to take care of it but he’s “not available.” How do you have no competent manager on duty?! The customer service was horrific and I will never do business with this place again.

At the Edgewater Hotel in Put-in-Bay, I had a great time. We secured a fantastic discount by booking a package that included a free overnight golf cart rental!The staff was attentive, courteous, and went above and above to make sure I was comfortable. The hotel is in a great location—it's close to all the top sights. I would definitely stay at the Edgewater Hotel again because it exceeded my expectations in many respects.

An absolute awful experience. When we arrived for check in we got into our room to find dirt all over the floors. And to add to it there was actual vomit all over the bathroom door. They only provided one roll of toilet paper for an entire weekend stay with multiple people in the suite. There was no way to call down to the front desk because they use an answering service, so if you need anything you have to walk down to talk to them and they’re gone by 8pm. But wait, there’s more. After paying nearly $800 for a two night stay they tried to charge another $250 when we arrived that we had to argue to avoid. We were told multiple times that we could also extend our golf cart rental for our last day for $15/3 hours. We confirmed this again before doing so, but when we went back to pay they charged us nearly $50 for that extra three hours and said they never said that. Considering it was $20 to keep the cart from 8 pm to noon this simply did not add up. Overall, DO NOT stay here. There is a reason it’s cheaper…it’s absolute trash and the service was the worst I’ve ever experienced. For the star rating, I’m only selecting one star because it won’t let me submit it with zero stars…which is what this place actually deserves. (UPDATE: Just adding this update because the owners responded to my rating and I cannot respond outside of editing my initial response. 1.) I think they have us confused because it was just me and one friend that stayed in the hotel. Not sure where they're getting '6'. 2.) My friend did not have any issues paying or insufficient funds. 3.) It was bad. I'd never recommend them to anyone.) Thanks.

The Edgewater Hotel in Put-in-Bay is a wonderful place to stay. The room was comfortable, clean, and had all the amenities I needed for a pleasant stay. The hotel's location is perfect, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and attractions. The restaurant served delicious food. The Edgewater Hotel is a fantastic choice for a relaxing and enjoyable stay on the island.
